Summer Ready Skin – DIY Face Masks

It’s really Important that we take good care of our skin in these hot summer days because apart from dehydration, Our skin faces a lot of problems due to the hot weather like Tanning, Oiliness, Open pores, Early ageing and Pigmentation. And I am someone who is really fond of these Homemade face masks and I rely on them to take care of my skin and trust me it does wonders! With this busy schedule not only me, but most of us don’t get time to go to parlour and get the treatments done so I prefer going with these DIY masks and I’d suggest you the same because c’mon it’s inexpensive, helpful and amazing!

  1. Milk & Honey Face Pack:
  • 4 tbsp milk
  •  1 tbsp Honey
  •  2 tbsp lemon juice

Application :

Mix all together and apply evenly on the tanned areas and keep for 15 minutes. Wash off with cold water when dried.

This pack helps you to get rid of tan skin.

2.  Papaya antioxidant mask:

This one’s my favorite. Papaya is so rejuvenating. It’s so rich in antioxidants and enzymes which helps get rid of dead skin also lemon exfoliates and tones the skin and honey is a great moisturizer.

Stuff you’ll need:

  •  papaya peeled and seeded.
  • 1/2 tsp honey.
  •  1/4 tsp lemon juice.

Mash papaya in a mixture until smooth paste. Add lemon and honey. Mix well. Apply all over your face avoiding the eyes. Let it dry and wash off after 10-15 minutes.

3. Sandalwood Face Pack:

  • Sandalwood powder – 3 tbsp
  • Rose water – 2 tbsp

Mix all together till fine paste. Apply the mixture on clean face and hold for 15 minutes and rinse off with normal water.

4. Cucumber Mask:

Cucumber is very good for skin in summers. Suits all skin types, most sensitive as well. Gives you a fresh glowing skin in just 10 minutes.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 tbsp sugar

How to make it?

Peel and mash cucumber. Grind it but do not let it become liquid. Add sugar and mix well. Apply over your face and neck and keep for 10 minutes, wash off and pat dry. You can keep this mask stored in your refrigerator and often use in summer.

5. Honey and Yogurt Mask:

This combination is probably the best for your skin. Yogurt moisturizes the skin, while honey makes it soft and perfect. It should be a combination of 2 spoons of yogurt with 1 teaspoon of honey. Make a thick paste and apply on your face. Allow the paste to dry for 15 minutes. Wash off with normal water.

6. Tomato Pulp Mask:

Great for unwanted Sun tan and dark skin. You can simply slice a tomato and rub it on your face for 10-15 minutes to see instant effect. This mask keeps you out of reach from summer’s heat.

Ingredients:

  • Tomato pulp
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • Mix both of them together
  • Apply evenly on your face
  • Wash off with cold water after 10 minutes and Tadaa!! You will be surprised to see the results!!
